As the coronavirus continues to impact everyday life, many have compared what has happened over the last few months to horror and science fiction movies. While some worry about what could happen in the future if the COVID-19 pandemic continues, fans of these movies have seemingly been waiting years for this moment. Luckily, for those that don’t study horror and science fiction movies, there is now a survival guide using some of the most iconic films of the genre.

Created by writer and director Michael Dougherty, along with editor Evan Gorski, the three and a half minute video uses clips from iconic horror and science fiction films to create a survival guide for life during the coronavirus. Some of the films used in the now viral video include ‘The Shining,’ ‘Jaws,’ ‘I Am Legend,’ ‘Terminator,’ ‘Alien’ ‘Shaun of the Dead’ and ‘World War Z.’

The video is titled, ‘Everything I Need to Know to Survive COVID-19 I Learned By Watching Sci-fi & Horror Movies.”.’ Both Dougherty and Gorski have experience in the genre, with Dougherty wrote and directed  ‘Trick ’r Treat’ and ‘Godzilla: King of the Monsters.’ If anyone knows how to deal with a pandemic, it’s these two.
