NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Hospitalized Broadway actor Nick Cordero's condition is "going downhill," his wife Amanda Kloots shared in an Instagram Story Wednesday.

Cordero, 41, contracted coronavirus in March and was admitted to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. His right leg was amputated and he suffered two mini-strokes. He was also put on a ventilator and in a medically-induced coma. He has since woken up.

"Nick has had a bad morning," Kloots, 38, said in a video from her car. "Unfortunately, things are going a little downhill at the moment. So I am asking again for all the prayers, mega-prayers right now."

Holding back tears, she continued, "Please cheer and please pray for Nick today. I know that this virus is not gonna get him down. This is not how his story ends. So, just keep us in your thoughts and prayers today. Thank you."

Kloots also posted a photo of Cordero, captioning it, "Mega prayers for this special man right now. God continue to grant miracles."

In a post earlier in the day, Kloots said Cordero's left lung was "still causing issues."
